UPDATE- I SWITCHED PHOTOG! ...Anyone switch a major vendor?!

My Gosh Girls.....this is one I lost sleep over!
I met with my original vendor for an hour on Saturday and looked at LOTS of the portfolio and love the work. Truly. Love. It. I honestly was going to cancel my meeting with Thomas Paul but FH insisted that I was interested for a reason and owed it to myself to invest the time and not have any regrets.

Last night we met withThomas Paul and were blown away. His style is unique and the pictures literally made me say 'Oh wow' a few times. I'm proud to say that I'm a Thomas Paul Bride now!

This was nerve wracking because it's truly unlike me to flip-flop but sometimes things happen for a reason!

I am NOT an indecisive person. BUT....
I'm second guessing my photographer only because I got a great deal from another vendor.

Turns out a good friend at work is a family friend of Thomas Paul. UGH!

I've always admired his work...it turns out I got a great quote- $800 cheaper than what I am paying for my photographer and it includes parent albums and more enlargements and the TY cards.

I have left a $500 deposit, I would lose it....but the value of the parent albums has to be AT LEAST that. I would save at least $800-$1000 in the long run...and I get 2 photographers all day.

I feel like an idiot, wish I had known about TP before!!!! It would be Brian and Tony shooting my wedding...what would you do?

Is it possible to use the deposit toward something else???

Ask twelfth night if there is something you can use it for.

Ask twelfth night if there is something you can use it for.

I agree ask them if they can do engagement photos with it or maybe give you a credit for when you are PG or after you have the baby

See if you can use the deposit towards e-pics or something - I'm using 12th Night and Dom has been nothing but helpful. And my epics came out awesome!! Give him a call...

If one of the differences is that you get a 2nd photographer definitely go for the switch even if the price came out even that is a huge bonus!

I had 2 photographers in my prior package but 1 was for 5 hours, the 2nd for 10. I get these 2 ALL day. One goes to FH's house, the other starts the day with me.

I switched my flower vendor because Lovin Oven rubbed me the wrong way. My mom got $125 of the $300 she put down back. And we booked with another florist, that I'm extremely happy with.

I sent you FM.. BUT def go talk to TP.. ask 12 th night to use the $500 for enagement photos maybe... and ask TP to take them out??!! maybe his package will go down a little more..

But see him.. make sure you like his work over 12th night

Oh wow! They both do beautiful work but if you are gonna get a better deal with TP you should switch......oh and hes awesome too

I did with Photo & Video to Thomas Paul too from a company in NYC. I sooooooo happy I did. I love him he is soooo nice and even calls his clients for the holidays which I think is a very sweet gesture.

Just be 100% sure that you will be happy with the switch. Yes that is a big price difference BUT in the end will the QUALITY of the work make you happy??
If yes, then switch!
