I am back from lunch & it went ok- good news and bad news- so first the good news- I am now the Assistant Director of the Department and I got a pretty good raise so yay for that..
and the bad news- in our department, there are 2 managers me and another guy & everything is split down the middle.. so he's been here 10 years and was actually my boss at one point- but his numbers have been really bad the last two years and they are firing him i'm sad because I really liked working with him.

well I am very happy to hear the good news for you! although I am sorry about the other guy hopefully they will take care of him with severance and he finds something quick

yay for you glad u got a promotion n a pay rise so that means xtra cash to spend for the wedding and other expences

I feel sorry for him but I'm happy for you YAY!!!
I've heard of them leaving people on until they replace them also...I think its horrible..but hey what can ya do?
