UPDATE: Kitty needs a home - Please Help!!!
Update: I am so happy!!! After 5 weeks, I have finally found this kitty a home. Bella is being adopted by one of the nurse's at my hospital. I'm just waiting for her FIV and FeLV test to come back clear. Say a little prayer for her.I came home last night to find a little cat in front on my house. I noticed the cat had tags on so I asked my husband to help me catch it. We didn't even have to catch it, it came up to me and started to rub it's face on my legs. Then I notice it had a ribbon around it's neck and when I looked closer I saw a note. The note basically said that the cat was lost and needed to be fed and find a good home. I originally assumed that the person who wrote the note was the one who dumped it but that person indicated that it was a boy and that it was declawed (which it is not), so I guess not. (The cat had to have been owned b/c it can use a litter box and is extremely friendly).
I contacted a voulnteer group who I am working with to get her spayed, vaccinated, and have her shots up-to-date. I took her to a vet today and they said she is about a 1- 1.5 years old. Overall, she is in good health it appears but she is a little underweight (she is only 8 lbs.). We are also waiting to get her tested for Feline AIDS and leukemia.
Right now she is in a very large crate in my basement and is being cared for. I would LOVE to take her in but I have 2 cats, one of which is disabled and requires a lot of time and money to care for. I really would take her but I can't chance stressing out my little girl.
PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE - if you know anyone that is seriously looking let me know. It must be someone who will take good care of her and keep her. If not, the volunteer place will taker her on 10/14. They are a no kill place so I am confident they will give her a good home, but if you know someone who wants a very loving cat she is it.
I will pay for her spaying, shots and vaccines. I just want to save her and get her the love she deserves.
PS - We are calling her Macaroni (our cats are named Ravi & Oli).
