update: my hairdresser

So, I posted a thread a couple days ago asking if you thought that $400 (informal estimate) was too much to pay to get my hairdresser to travel an hour and do my hair and one bridesmaids hair...

Guess what! I was STUNNED when I got the formal estimate..... $851 you've got to be s#!tting me.... Sorry, I may be loyal to her, but that's just obscene.

This is the ridiculous breakdown:
$295 to do my hair outside the parlor
$95 for the BM
$56 for milage

Oh, what's the other $400 for? Apparently it's a 'I have to wake up earlier than usual' fee. You've got to be kidding....

Needless to say, I'm feeling a bit LESS loyal now! Looking around for someone else...

I used Denise Lee Salon in Setauket on Rte 25A. Lisa (owner) was phenomenal!!!!!! She charged $125 b/c it was a very early morning for us. It would have been less at later hours (8am/9am).

Are you serious?! This is your hairdresser??? WOW....I would not pay that much at all when I know there are plenty of other great hairdressers out there that charge much less.
