at this rate I dont think I'll have anyone at my shower this saturday

everyone was like sorry I have work that day.. why cant they take off work for me.. or atleast try.

[ U P D A T E ] I really dont know what to think,, look at my list now... i havent gotten any yeses.. at this point I dont even want to have the shower.. (I dont even have any family members to come to my shower and my FH only has his mom) we thought it would be odd if his mom is the only adult so we decided to have a shower with just friends. now look at the list =[

it's okay.. i'm going thru the same thing.. my shower is july 6th (july 4th weekend!) so a lot of people can't make it cos they're going to be OOT. i was upset about it, but i have about 25-30 people going (when i was expecting around 40-50).. just enjoy your shower and celebrate with the people who can make it.. people don't understand how much these things mean to us brides (for example, i have a childhood friend that said she cant make it to my wedding b/c she can't get off from work that night.. uhmmm?? i havent seen you in years and that's the excuse you give me? ..sorry but what goes around comes around- haha me being bitter) lol ok this is getting long, but remember you're not alone.. i totally understand

Have you considered inviting the males? My mom surprised us by having all the males show up about 3 hours into it, right before the belly dancer but after all the games (since they wouldn't understand this ritual lol). My father, FH, groomsmen, uncles, since we had my aunts there. It made it a lot more fun. You could beef up your invites this way.
