update on 1st song thread

Btw.. We used 'At Last' as our first song.. and I was VERY offended when Mr. & Mrs. Obama danced to this song.. IT'S MY SONG!!!!!

This is ridiculous.

The phrase 'our song' isn't literal.

It doesn't belong to you.

She's just being emotional.

You need to tell her to either 1. go fk herself. or 2. hey look, i know this is 'your song' but it's about to become/already is 'our song' as well.

Milllions of people probably have it as 'their song'.

By the way, none of you can serve chocolate cake at your weddings, 2011 girls because I just ordered chocolate cake and now that becomes 'OUR CAKE'

This is exactly why when people ask me questions about my songs or colors or anything I say we are still deciding and then laugh

Just like when I am preggers I am not going to tell anyone the names I am thinking because then they go 'oooooohhhhhhhhhhh' and make a funny face

Dont worry - I'll invite the guests to come dance the last 30 seconds of the song, then you can say that at least you got a whole minute of dancing with your husband to MY wedding song :)

Songs at weddings will have to overlap. I don't see why she cares so much. And that's a relatively popular song! You're one month away from your wedding- worry about your planning, not her! If she chooses not to come over your first dance, that shows she thinks a SONG overrides your friendship.

LEAVE THE SONG!!! She has no right to tell you what song you can and cannot have at your wedding. Does she think she's the only person in the world with all the songs played at her wedding?

Don't listen to her (or anyone else) and do what you want and what you plan on doing.

ETA: AND if you feel like it has a BAD vibe to it because she did all this ridiculous-ness, then have 2 songs. Come out and dance to the song you originally choose and then maybe do the last song as another dance for you guys OR like RIGHT before dinner is served. Somewhere in there. Just don't pick the 2nd song her DJ choose for her! Last thing you need to hear. But then you have 2 songs and they will both be special. Like I said, don't change the song though, don't let her get the best of you!
