UPDATE on FH's Dad (he passed away) and my wedding this Saturday

Just wanted to thank you girls for all the prayers and hugs.....haven't been on LIW in a few days...
Unfortunately FH's dad did pass away on Friday night. He was really suffering at the end so we were really praying for God to take him. We were all at his bedside with him when he died which was really nice...so sad and hard though.
FH is Jewish so we've been sitting shiva all week and tomorrow - Thanksgiving - is our joint Thanksgiving Rehearsal Dinner...it is now a triple Thanksgiving / Rehearsal / Shiva...just moved location to FH's mom's house where we've been sitting shiva.
And our wedding is on Saturday...can't believe it is here...just a few days away.

It's been a tough week but we're all hanging in there. It's hard having to bury your dad and get married all in the same week - my heart breaks for FH and his family but they are all really looking forward to celebrating at our wedding which is what his dad wanted us to do.

Just wanted to give an update and thank you all again for all the support and prayers!!!

We've postponed our big honeymoon....just too hard to go away right now while we're still mourning and grieving. We want to go when we can fully enjoy ourselves - hoping to reschedule for March. We are going away locally for a few days right after the wedding so I'll be in touch after that with pics!

I know Saturday will be bitter sweet . But your FIL is no longer in pain and will be watching over you and enjoying your wedding day.

I am so sorry for your loss. Just think though, he is out of pain and is in a better place.

I am sure it is going to be hard the day of the wedding but just know that he will be right there with the both of you enjoying your wedding.
