UPDATE on FH's Dad (he passed away) and my wedding this Saturday

Just wanted to thank you girls for all the prayers and hugs.....haven't been on LIW in a few days... Unfortunately FH's dad did pass away on Friday night. He was really suffering at the end so we were really praying for God to take him. We were all at his bedside with him when he died which was really nice...so sad and hard though. FH is Jewish so we've been sitting shiva all week and tomorrow - Thanksgiving - is our joint Thanksgiving Rehearsal Dinner...it is now a triple Thanksgiving / Rehearsal / Shiva...just moved location to FH's mom's house where we've been sitting shiva. And our wedding is on Saturday...can't believe it is here...just a few days away.
It's been a tough week but we're all hanging in there. It's hard having to bury your dad and get married all in the same week - my heart breaks for FH and his family but they are all really looking forward to celebrating at our wedding which is what his dad wanted us to do.
Just wanted to give an update and thank you all again for all the support and prayers!!!
We've postponed our big honeymoon....just too hard to go away right now while we're still mourning and grieving. We want to go when we can fully enjoy ourselves - hoping to reschedule for March. We are going away locally for a few days right after the wedding so I'll be in touch after that with pics!

I am so sorry for you loss. I can understand. DH's dad passed 3 days after we came back from our HM. We were devastated.

Omg, I am so very sorry for your and FH's loss!!
I will pray that you and his family have the strength to get through this difficult time. Take refuge knowing that your FH's dad is in a better place now and is no longer suffering.

I am so terribly sorry. I lost my father 6 months before my wedding after a very slow and painful suffering. I, too am Jewish, and the wedding went on as scheduled as happiness is not to be mixed with sadness. It was a very hard day and i am sure it will not be easy for anyone. Just know that your FIL will be in your hearts that day and he would want you to enjoy yourselves as much as you can. Feel free to FM if you need to talk.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family So sad. A friend of mine went through the same exact thing when her brother got married. Their father passed away 5 days before he was to get married.

Oh honey, I am so sorry to hear the bad news, but also sort of relieved to hear that your FH's father is no longer suffering. I hope your day is amazing. Im sure it will be.
