Update on Plumbing HELP!!! I need a CHEAP Plumber ASAP

We have some sort of clog which is leaking in our basement whenever we use the water.

Can someone please recommend a good plumber that is CHEAP.

Can't remember how much we paid, but I used NH Ross Plumbing when I lived in Selden. I live in Middle Island now and would still use them because I think they are in Coram on Middle Country Road. They were fast and good...that's all I remember because it was over 2 years ago. Good Luck!

Well it turns out that our main pipe was being clogged by the small roots of our trees outside.

The roots got into the elbows of the pipe I believe and where stopping the toilet paper from coming threw.

So the plumber was there 2 hours cutting threw the roots and unclogging everything. It cost us $430.00!!

So ladies, make sure you don't have any bushes or trees outside by your house near that main pipe.

well hopefully now everything is fixed and at least it happened now with the weather not that cold yet!! I bet in the winter it proably would of cost more!!

Who did you use?

My husband remembered that a friend he went to college with is married to a plumber.

So he waited until 9 for this guy to call him back. They spoke at 5 and the plumber said he would come around 8 because he was busy.

So, he finally got in touch with him and the guy says he can't come till tomorrow!! So he told him, No this can't wait and he is going to call someone else. The plumber was saying don't call they are going to charge you more. He wanted the job but he was too lazy to come out to our house.

So my husband ended up calling Roto Rooter after 9pm.

Thanks StepherG for recommending NH to me though. I don't think they would have been open?

Sorry things didn't work out. Stuff like that always happens to us when we try to use a friend. In the end we always end up paying more! Live and learn I guess.

Anyway, I'm glad at least that your problem is solved!
