I've picked out the BM dress I like best and nobody is in a rush to actually go and try it on or purchase it. Some are telling me it's much too early, yet FMIL is freaking out on me that we don't have them yet.

I know Carol on here got her's and her wedding is like two weeks before mine, anyone else?

We just ordered their dresses about three weeks ago. The lady at the salon told me we did it just in time because had I waited another week, the dresses wouldn't be in on time. But I think she was lying lol

We did my girls last Saturday at Lillettes. I was told that October weddings need to be done in February. Once of the ladies said it takes about 5 months for the dresses to get into the store

Thanks for all your input, but a few minuts ago - after talking to my MOH I realized two of my four girls will most likely be preg by November so now we're really stuck. Like I may just have to say 'the color is truffle- get what you think looks best'

What you can do is contact the store and ask when is the last possible date you can order that you won't incur rush charges. This will give you a better idea.

ooohhh....don't do that.....you never know what they will pruchase....

Maybe if you can't get them all together go in two separate sets....or pick a designer, color and fabric and let them send you dresses they like and they have to order the one you approve of....truffle may be different for Bill Levkoff than Alfred Angelo....

Good luck....isn't it a pain trying to get girls dresses? guys have it much easier and less dramatic...

We are going the week after Easter....most places will say order by 6 months before wedding

My wedding is 11/7, and I've had the BM dress picked out for a long time, but was holding off on ordering based on some of the BM's requests. Meanwhile, I shopped around to get the best possible price for the dress.

I just booked appts yesterday for my BMs to get measured in mid-March. The store I went to said the orders had to be placed by March, no later!!!! I think each store is different with how long it takes for them to get their orders in. Also, I think a lot of stores want to protect themselves and be on the safe side, so they tell you that you must place an order by a certain date in order to allow it time to come in. And I guess the earlier it's done, the better, so mistakes can be fixed sooner!

I'd recommend checking with whatever store you plan to order from about when is the latest you can order. As for the pregnant BMs, I'd say pick a designer/dress you like, and then see if they have a maternity dress in a similar style or color. Also, maybe doing mix and matches might work. Like maybe the BMs can all get the same skirts, but each can get a different top, which would probably help the pregnant ones.

I ordered mine about two weeks ago from RK Bridal. There was a substantial difference in price between them and Bridal Reflections. The designer is Waters and Waters.

My last three girls just went last Saturday. I ordered them from Angel Bridal in East Islip.
I rather have them in earlier then later & worry

We all went to David's today, I went with NJ girls to the Wayne, NJ store and the two LI girls went to Westbury. Everyone tried on this dress and we're set... Truffle dress with rose petal pink underskirt and sash Woo hoo! It looks a lot longer than it does on this model.

As for the future pregger chicks, they will have to order a size up or just try their dresses on with what David's calls a pregnancy pillow.

My sister (MOH) and I picked them out yesterday and the lady said as long as the girls order them by the end of March we'll be ok.

I am so nervous date twin!!! I have found dresses i like online, but i have yet to go.... i need to get a move on it and have the dresses picked and ordered by the end of march.... the latest!!!

I made the final decision on BM and MOH dresses so thats done. 2 girls are giving me the $$ to order them this week...then I have to find out about the other two.
