UPDATE: What do you think of this favor idea?

I like this idea of having the favor boxes also be placecards. I figure if they look too plain, I can put a small ribbon on each.

What do you think?

UPDATED TO SAY:
I've decided not to go with Placecard Favor Boxes. My mother gave me the perfect reason:

Imagine a guest that walks up to the placecard table and finds his/her name. And then discovers there are two tasty chocolate truffles in the box. Chances are that the guest will take another person's box just to eat more truffles. The box then disappears and some guests are left without knowing where to sit.

So I decided to go with regular personalized favor boxes, and I bought these little self-adhesive rosebud flowers to embellish the boxes so that they won't look plain.

Good idea. I personally hate butterflies (i'm wierd, I know) but I really like that they double as place cards.

I think that is a great idea but recommend you affix a miniature bow or rosebud to them in the upper corner to dress them up a little more. What are you putting in them?

This is another favor / placecard box I found on Jean M.

I still like the square box rather than the triangle idea. What I was thinking about doing was getting rid of the butterfly motif and replacing it with ribbon, like the second picture, or by placing a bow on the upper corner of the box.

What I put in the boxes will depend on which one I choose. The triangle ones are longer but the square ones hold more stuff in them.

I was thinking about hershey hugs and kisses. Or Dove dark/milk chocolate hearts.

I originally wanted to do something fancy like wine bottle 'stoppers' -is that what they call them? Other ideas were measuring spoons, personalized frames, coffee packets, CD favors, etc.

But they were either too expensive or my guests will probably say 'that's nice' and leave them on the table as they leave. So I can't go wrong with chocolates.

The second picture (the square box with the ribbon across the top of it) is the box I was considering.

I will personalize the box with our names, the date and the table number. I will leave a blank line to write the guest's name.

And the ribbon will be a rosewood or blush pink. Do you think it will look nice?
