UPDATED AT BOTTOM --- NO KIDS @ WEDDING.. IS THERE ANY WAY TO

Original post by Mrs_B

nicely say in the invite that there are no children allowed. my problem here is that FHs two cousins are thinking about bringing FIVE kids between the two of them (umm hellooo over my dead body thanks) We were thinking of maybe putting a cute poem about the fact that we dont want any rugrats there but arent sure how to word it. These are actually the only two people we might have a problem with as everyone else with kids WANTS TO HAVE A NIGHT OUT. I was trying to come up with a cute saying but cant seem to get the words. ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

YET ANOTHER UPDATE!!!!!!!
FH just got off the phone with his mother and told him that now his aunt and uncle dont want to come to the wedding because their granddaughter (age 5) is not invited. UMMM HIII ITS A WEDDING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really cant anymore with this nonsense!

i feel your pain as we went through something similar. it amazes me how people can be so selfish and self-centered at such a happy and joyous time. i would tell your DH or FMIL to tell your aunt and uncle that you are disappointed w/ their decision and are offended that they cannot honor your wishes.

THEY are going to be the ones that will have to deal w/ their decision. do not let them spoil YOUR day. stand your ground and be firm.

excellent idea! make THEM feel bad. and remember, you won't look bad for not having kids there, THEY will look like the fools when everyone starts asking where they are
