Sorry to vent..... but my maid of honor is acting ridiculous right now!
my wedding is in 15 days and tells me that she is wearing her hair in 'flat twists'!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am sorry, but that is not what my fh (her brother), myself and her had agreed on months ago.
I am not a bridezilla, but I believe I am turning into one for this one small thing.
I told her that if she wears her hair in flat twists, she will NOT be in any of our professional pics...she cursed me out and then hung up the phone.
Am I wrong for telling her that?
I just think that the hairstyle she says she is going to wear is not appropriate for my wedding!
Here is the update...
I called her and calmly discussed the reasons why she wants that specific hairstlye and if they were any other haristyles she would consider...
her answer 'I WILL WEAR MY HAIR HOWEVER I F***ING FEEL LIKE IT! I DON'T GIVE A S**T WHAT YOU OR MY BROTHER SAYS, IF YOU DON'T LIKE IT...YOU CAN TAKE MY DRESS AND GIVE IT TO YOUR SISTER TO WEAR' click-she hung up on my AGAIN

I don't think she is overreacting... i probably wouldn't say that you can't be in pics.. but she should also realize that it is your day and if it really bothers you, she should find a new hairstyle. The bridesmaids hair wasn't something I cared about.. I said to wear your hair however you want......and i think everyone will come with their hair done nicely. People have to realize that it is your day... when it is their day, they can be the boss. I hate when it stops becoming about you and it starts becoming an inconvenience for everyone. I say stick to your guns as much as you can..but if she refuses to change, then just let it go.... It is important but not so important to ruin the rest of your planning and day.

Aside from the hairstyle which is totally not appropriate IMHO....her reaction to ur suggestion was horrendous and her attitude!! Is this the type of person you want to stand up for you on your wedding day? Who cares if she's family. Ive heard of people who later on totally regret choosing certain ppl for what is supposed to be the most important day of your life! Think about it. I'd let her come as a guest and let her wear her d@mn flat twists! What an Ingrate!

ohh myyyyy gosh ~ I would just leave it alone ~ maybe she is having some personal issues or her hormones all wacky... maybe she will come around ~ I am sure she will look beautiful any way she wears her hair! no one will be looking at her anyhow... it will be all about you and your day!

I think you are being reasonable asking her to wear her hair in a certain style. I think she is just being difficult. I mean, does she always wear her hair like this and you are asking her to change it? Or is this the style that she wants for that day? Personally, I would probably get rid of her, for acting so nasty to you and her brother.
