I'm freaking out. WHen I went for my dress preview, I didn't get that same 'Feeling' as I did when I originally bought the dress. There were alot of things contributing to that... Aunt Flow, I was hot, tired & hungry and the thing that really makes my dress is a big full slip underneath, which I didn't have when I went in. Anyway, I was so upset and disappointed and I can't stop thinking about it. So I ordered a nice big slip from ebay and we're going back to the salon tonight to re-try on the dress with the new full slip. I'm hoping this will make me happy. If not, my Mom said that we're going to have to shop for another dress until I get that feeling again. SHe wants me to feel perfect and like a princess... so I stressing. I am praying htat everything will be fine once I have the slip. Here are the pics from the preview. Am I overreacting? Please be honest.
Your dress looks perfect. Stop stressing. If it looks different to you its prob because of the slip. Try it on with it, if your still not happy, buy another dress. I think your dress looks great. Maybe your just a little nervous too! I'm nervous and my weddings in 07. Good luck with your dress.

I think the dress looks beautiful on you... even without the full slip. You have to be happy. Definitely go try on your dress with the slip. But keep an open mind when you try it on... don't let your experience the other day cloud this fitting.

Can you borrow one of their slips at the salon and see what it looks like? That way you dont have to wait for the other one to come.

I think you dress is beautiful, even with an A-line slip. But wait until you get the slip you want and try it on again. I do think that most brides fall out of love with their dress, and then they fall back in love with it. Did you fall in love with it when you had a big, poofy slip on? Then that is probably it. Don't worry. All will be well. It is also really nice of your mom to be so understanding in case you do want a new dress. This way, see how you really feel about the dress and know there is no pressure. But I just want you to know that you look really beautiful in the dress.

I think it may be a couple of things..
First of all you dont have your perfect slip
second, its all wrinkled and the sample you tried on was probably NOT as wrinkled or rumpled
thrid--- are you standing on the pedastal? Because if so its FAR too long for you and that might be throwing you off big time.
I think you look awesome!!!!!!.. what is it that you dont like???
The only thing I would say, someone else suggested, you uncover your shoulders a bit.

Honestly, I think it is really beautiful and I think you look really really great. The whole thing with your headpiece, veil, hair (which I LOVE) and that dress really all WORK together!!! I would definitely go back in a relaxed frame of mind, put that slip on and take another look. I am so confident you will see it the way other people are seeing it--as really gorgeous!

omg - I can't tell you girls how much your comments and advice mean to me!!! YOu guys are really helping me relax. I'm going in tonight with an open mind and food in my stomach! I'm sure it will be okay. I was having one of those freakout moments! I will update you girls tonight with the new slip. And yes, I'm going to pull some of my hair away so it's not so full. I do want it to frame my face though.

I think your feelings are perfectly normal and sane. I felt the same exact way.
Maybe after tonight, with the new slip, all will be wonderful. If not, it's not too late to get another dress (I was a 2 dress bride).
Hang in there. I completely understand your stress and you have every right to feel the way you do. You should LOVE your dress and be happy with it. I know that will happen for you!!

it looks great! Try it on with the slip and you'll feel better. Also, don't forget, it is wrinkled, doesn't have all of it's alterations, etc... you will look and feel beautiful!
