I have heard great things about St. Lucia and Antigua. I know there definitely are a lot of kids at the Atlantis so not sure if that's what your looking for. Bermuda is beautiful but it's not going to be that warm right now. My friend just got back from the Bahamas and it was like 78-80 degrees every day so if you are looking for a little warmer try something a little further south. Sorry you had such a bad experience...hopefully everything works out.

Costa RIca is beautiful this time of year. I would check it out. They also have all inclusives like the Ritz.

Im so sorry!!! You should have tried to go to a better hotel in mexico instead of coming all the way home! Excellence Resorts are supposed to be amazing as are Secrets. And La Blanc in Cancun is supposed to be incredible! Maybe try Jamaica? Or Punta Cana? Def read tripadvisor reviews before choosing!

Thanks ladies for all the suggestions. Our TA just called and Aventura is refunding us the entire stay, but not our airfare, since we already used that. Not a big deal. We already entered a dispute charge with AMEX, so in 4 weeks we may be able to get the airfare refunded with them at least.

We are heading BACK to the TA now... I will keep u posted with our decision....

I still cant believe this happened, but we were just not about to settle, and look back on our honeymoon as a bad experience.

Thanks, we will def enjoy it. Cant go wrong at the Ritz. I am not sure where we will go just yet. The TA gave us a ton more books to peruse, and we are gonna take the next week or so to figure it all out. Even if we have to put more $$ towards it, we dont mind - we just want to be happy. I will keep you all posted...

I'm so sorry about your HM. At least you were able to get some of the money back. I don't know if you want to go back to Mexico but we stayed at the Excellence and loved it! We also stayed at the Royal Hideaway for the second part of our HM and we didn't like that at all so I totally understand how your feel. I hope everything works out for you.

These are all lovely suggestions. I would also look into Anguilla and Barbados. Both gorgeous Islands. Bermuda is beautiful but doesn't have the warmest weather in the winter. Save that for the late spring to early fall.

Hey i'm so sorry to hear that you had a bad experience i know how that feels. I'll tell you me and FH like to stay at very nice places, so i will suggest a few. We just went to aruba in july and went to the RIU and Hated it ! so don't stay there it's exactly how you described the Aventura. The grounds are very nice but not anything else. So we changed our hotel to the Hyatt absolutley beautiful service and food was amazing! Also in Mexico we went to Riviera Maya The Royal Hideaway it's all inclusive but the Food is unreal take it from me we Love to eat . The service was great and the grounds and rooms were beautiful. Deff look into it.
