But the one bad thing about it is the Southern state runs parellel with the house, so if you go out your backdoor you hear the parkway. The house was totally renovated inside and out. The only things you will need to do is to replace two windows upstairs, and also you will need to purchase a refrigerator, dishwasher, washer and dryer. The house is being treated as a brand new build

It looks like a really nice house and the price is very reasonable. While North Babylon has some nice areas, it also has some not so great areas (like any neighborhood) so with the price being what it is I would research the areas. The elem/middle schools are ok but the high school is not the greatest (they do have a good football team). I know someone who teaches there so this is coming from experience. Good LucK!

wow - those pics are very nice! I was looking at a bunch of homes in North Babylon.... prices aren't so unreasonable and most of the taxes I've seen aren't so bad either. I lvoe the idea of moving into a larger home where we can raise our family, so homes like what you posted here are so appealing to me righ now! Seeing the homes here and their comparison in Nassau - I'm seriously starting to reconsider my ideas on moving into Suffolk county!!!

Yeah there are a lot of nice homes in Suffolk County. We looked at one that was an open house. It was amazing. They wanted $430k, and the taxes were over $8000 but it had a huge deck in the yard with a wet bar, a formal dining room, eat in updated kitchen, huge living room with a gas fireplace, skylights, I think 5 total, sliding doors to the rear deck, a master bedroom downstairs with glass sliders to the yard...(Used to be the garage), a master bedroom upstairs with wood cieling beams, 2 full redone bathrooms, one with a skylight, 4 bedrooms total, and a finished basement. That has in nassau county would be over $600k.

nice pics!!! just leery because of the schools like someone mentioned---isn't there always a reason why it's a good deal!? lol there's always a catch! haha
