Can someone please explain why Im getting quoted 2500 and up for up lighting am I looking in the wrong places?
anyone getting up lighting what are you price ranges?
I even asked one of the florist I went to And he told me that uplighting was going to be around $3500 why????????????

That's crazy! How big is your room??
My DJ does it for $25 per light...which is a really good price. He said my room looks best with 20 lights so my whole room will be $500

We paid $60 per light for 12 lights so $720. We also did the intelligent lighting, dance floor lights and gobo. That was like $900 for all of it.

I just got a quote of $75/light from a potential band last night and it sounded a bit steep to me... for *lights*.. and after seeing the other girls quotes now I know for sure that it was a rip.Ugh..

that does seem to be a lil too expensive for lighting. we got our lighting from out dj and the entire package didnt even cost what u are being quotes. maybe ask ur dj....

You should be able to get it through your DJ for alot cheaper. We are getting it for an extra 800 I believe.

Florentine Gardens has their own lighting... They charge $500 for uplighting... I thought it's expensive already

We're not using a DJ so that's not an option for us (and I'm pretty sure my band doesn't offer it). We were quoted I think about $1k for the ball room and the room for CH. I was quoted about the same and also a lot higher at other places (mainly florists). I didn't find anyone willing to do it for less. All we're looking for is basic up lighting, I don't need any extras.

While negotiating with our RH, they threw in the uplighting when I showed them that other venues like Fox Hollow were going to provide us with ceremony flowers. They immediately offered the uplighting instead at no extra charge.
