upset

I just got into a hugh fight with FH about not having a job and he said to me 'what do you want to call off the wedding'

i was like no i dont but you need to get a job and he hung up on my and now he wont answer his phone. I just so upset that this is going on. I cant take this stress anymore, worrying about the bills, The wedding that needs to be paid for and im the only one that is saving and that money is going out the window b/c he uses it. Im have such heart palpations right now and chest pain. I feel like crap... WHY DOES THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN ME???????

I understand how you are feeling. While my FH has a job, I don't feel that he makes enough $ and I am not so sure he works as hard as he can. It is a little different situation, but I think that sometimes we get into similar arguements. The thing you have to remember is that he IS trying to find a job, and you telling him to find a job is not helping, its only making him more and more stressed and resentful. Just try to lay back, I know its hard, its hard for me too. You just need to be supportive right now. It'll come!

instead of telling him he needs to get a job, why dont you help him look for one. maybe you guys can sit down together and take a look at his resume, fix it up, and then go to one of those job websites or something. you might be more successful if you approach him that way, he probably feels like hes being attacked.

I have, everyday that i go in to work i send out resume galore and also apply for all def. job but is seem like nothing is working here. I've tried so hard to help him. he tells me that he isnt going to work for less then $10 an hour and that he doesnt want to do stupid jobs. I just dont know where to turn, I thought that engagement is suppose to be the happiest time in your life but it isnt.

I know that we will get through this and like it says in the vows through good time and bad times.
Also he makes funny of my sister DH and i feel like he is following right in his foot steps.

sorry your not on good terms with fh. i know fh is looking for a good long term job, but maybe in the meantime he can just get a job at like home depot, or cvs, or anywhere just so he can pull in some money at the moment ?

he thinks that he is better then that and he doesnt want to work for less then 10 an hour. I've told him for 3 weeks now over and over again go to the deli that your frd works at and get a job there. But he just doesnt want to listen to what i have to say. But then he yell that he know what his responsibilities are. if that is true then do it..

Hang in there it will all work out. I was in the same boat 2 months ago and he was jobless for 6 months!!!! ahhhh I was at my breaking point. and he finally got a great job and now he is finally chipping in to pay off the wedding stuff and since then we booked out photographer. There are the trying times that are testing your relationship and you will make it through - for better or worse, richer or poorer although it really should be for richer or richer lol.

Hang in there I know how you feel - everything will work out and you will have a beautiful wedding!

Well I think they have offices all over Long Island they are a huge alarm company...there is one in Hicksville I believe google them and see where there locations are.

I know it's easy for us to say hang in there, it will get better...but when you're going through it, it just really *****.

Not having a job is stressful enough, add planning a wedding and that just makes it seem a gazillion times worse.

I don't know if this will at least make you laugh, but FH and me told my priest that we know the wedding vows say, 'For better for worse, in sickness and in health...' so we're taking care of the sickness part now...in your case you're just taking care of the poorer part. Then we'll all be happy :)
