OK, I have 7 days to go and I am upset about my hair. I went to a salon for a trial with the idea of having my hair half up and half down. After talking to the stylist for a little while, I decided to give it a try and go for it all up. I want a side part where the hair comes down on the forehead (you know, the typical bride style). The stylist had no personality at all which I did not like, but I wound up booking her, figuring if she did good work that was all that mattered. I got the pictures back and was not 100% happy with the way it looked. It was very hard to see the up do because it was too low. I felt funny going back for another trial, but I made the appointment and went anyway. Well the girl was not the happiest of people once again. I kept telling her that I wanted the curls the same way they were on the first trial but higher up and that I wanted the hair in the front lower. She started getting a little attitude and said, “I can not make it any lower.” So now I am all upset about this and do not know what to do and I am getting married in 7 days and me and 7 other girls are getting their hair done in this salon. I am the type that would feel very uncomfortable going back to the salon to have a trial with another girl. Any advice???

So sorry! I'd feel the same way about going to another girl, but it's your wedding day and you want to be happy. I'm sure you're paying lots of $$ for all these trials!. Are there any other salons in the area if worst comes to worst?

Your wedding is your special day. It is something you'be been planning for and thinking about for a long time. This being said, don't let some hair styliest ruin it for you. Not only are you the bride but you are also paying the hair syliest for her services, so make sure she is doing what you want. If you can try to make an appoitment with someone else or go back to her again and be firm in telling her what you want. Don't let someone talk you out of having your hair the way you want it. I want to wear my hair down and so many people are trying to talk me out of it. My mom told me that i needed to do what I wanted. Take some one with you and go back to the salon. If you're still unhappy try some place else. I know you only have 7 days left but who knows you might find some one who is available and good at what they do. You might be suprised by the talented hair dressers at local salons. Let us know how you made out. Good luck! I wish you the best Jess

You should definatly either go to another girl in that salon or go to another salon alltogether. There is no reason for her to give you any type of additude considering that a trial means that you are testing different styles. Let her know how unhappy you were with your last trial-she should understand. And if that salon wants your business as well as you BM's business (you may have to be a little harsh) the should accomodate you-after all you are the BRIDE! !

It may not be the popular answer (to be honest I didn't read the other responses - sorry gals) But I would try to find another stylist. The last thing you need is something to set you off first thing in the morning on your wedding day........

I swear, we are paying for a service! Dont give them your money if you arent happy. do you need that stress? Im tired of atttitude by hairdressers and make up artists who feel I should be lucky to have them. They should be happy to have us give them their business and recomendations....Sorry, Im just a little bitter and PMS today....and I used to be a hairdresser so I know the attitude they can have and it stinks. Get someone you love.

Call & ask to speak to the manager. Tell her you have gone to 2 trials & are still not happy. Tell her the girls attitude sucked. And remind her that you have 7 other girls going to give them their buisness. I'm sure (if she has buisness sense) she will invite you back to have a free trial & help you in any way possible!!

I would try to get a trial with someone else. It cant hurt! You will lose your deposit, but so what? If you are going to be unhappy on your wedding day, no amount of $$ is worth that.

I've had 3 trials already and my 1st girl was like yours. She wanted to do everything I didnt want. If I liked it, she said it wouldnt look good. I told her I wanted the top fuller and she said it would look too '80s'. Well excuse me, I'm only paying you $70, yes $70 for this trial. Needless to say I never called her again.
