my husband and i would like to go away in the end of august but we're worried about how hot it would be in the tropics and also hurricanes.... any advice? ultimately, we'd love to go away to an all inclusive but don't want to be dying in 100 degree weather!

have you considered Europe? it is extremely HOT in the Caribbean in August!!
you could also go to Mexico (the west coast), they don't get hurricanes.
DH and I went to Jamaica on our HM in November and I could barely take the heat just on the 1 hour bus ride from the airport... and the bus was air conditioned, although not like A/C's here. I changed into flip flops at the airport and had my pants rolled up to my knees on the bus!

I would recommend caribbean islands out of the hurricane belt. Aruba, Curacao, Caymans.
It is very hot there, but you could also take a trip to southern cal and western cost of mexico.
I would probably be a little pricey and I think high tourist season, but Italy-Spain and Greece

We were in Grand Cayman in August and it was not that bad. Yes it was hot, but not unbearable. It was a dry heat, not too humid.
