Who wore or plans on wearing their veil for the reception? I feel like I'd probably be more comfortable w/o it. But the people tell me that I'd look more 'like a bride' with it on the whole time...what does everyone plan on doing?

Re: Veil for reception?
I'm getting a short veil for the reception. Blusher length...fingertip might catch on my dress. I have to say, it does make for beautiful pictures.

Re: Veil for reception?
I did only because i felt it was such a waste to buy it and wear it for a few hours so I wore it the entire night! I didn't even notice it was on. Now I got it cleaned and been trying to sell it but no takers as of yet.

Re: Veil for reception?
I had a short veil and I ended up taking it off shortly into the reception- looking at the pictures, I wish I had left it on the whole time- I loved how it looked on- it was just after awhile it was annoying me

Re: Veil for reception?
I had a cathedral length veil so there was no question in my mind that I would take it off after pictures. I would have been walking around with it wrapped around my arm all night! I've seen a lot of brides wear theirs all night though, and it does look beautiful in pictures.

I wore mine the entire time, even after we got to the hotel room! It made me feel more like a bride with it on!

Re: Veil for reception?
i didnt vote bc you didnt have my option in the poll. I took it off after first dance, so soon after reception started. I think more ppl do that rather than take it off right after ceremony. It does come out great in pics, it drove me insane but i do love all the pics i got with my veil, even when the veil ended up wrapping all around me, annoyed me that day but the pics i have of that i love lol.

Re: Veil for reception?
i took mine off - i wanted to show off the back of my hair b/c i got a haircomb that i LOVED but i think it would have looked great if i left it on........you are right, i think it makes you look more complete......and i hate veils, but i love the pics of me wearing it, and i felt more princess like with it on
i used to say no veil, but now, knowing what its like, i say keep it on

Oh wow really??? Now I am starting to think I should keep mine on!!! Its not a long veil, but it does have a comb on it.... How will it stay on the whole night without falling off?? Even stay on through the dancing???

Re: Veil for reception?
I originally intended to take it off right after pictures and first dance, but now I'm not too sure. My mother basically made me get a more more expensive veil than I had planned on getting, and I feel really bad because she paid for it. So I'd be really guilty if I only wore it for 2 or 3 hours now.

Re: Veil for reception?
I have a Cathedral length veil so I was planning on taking it off after first dance...or after Church..now not sure if I should get a smaller veil for the reception (even though cathedral length wasnt cheap... )

Re: Veil for reception?
I plan on wearing a cathedral length veil for my ceremony, and have a shorter elbow length veil that I will be wearing for cocktail hour. I will probably be taking the shorter veil off for the reception because I have a blingy barrette that I want to show off.

Re: Veil for reception?
I took mine off for only the last 30 minutes of my reception b/c I was pretty warm and it was trapping in the heat. My veil was velcroed to my jeweled comb so we just ripped it off, and my hair was still fine. It was great!
