The woman at the salon told me the cathedral can be bustled. So that's another option. I guess I am gonna have to try on both types with my dress and see which one I like better. If you bought 2 veils, are you worried about messing up your hair when you change them?

I'm not worried about my hair getting messed up. The veils have metal combs and slide in and out easily

I realized that isn't really a concern for me. LOL I am friends with my hair stylist and she will be at the wedding. So if I need a touch up she is there to help

I think we all go through this second guessing sometimes. I myself was second guessing my dress but I have forced myself not to look at any more wedding gowns b/c I felt beautiful in it when I wore it. Just stick with your vision you won't go wrong.

I'm wearing a fingertip and I will try to wear it all night. It's the only day you can wear a veil and I'm going to take advantage of it!

I agree theres so many options out there and we are constantly comparing what we have to other things out there so we start second guessing ourselves. If thats what you wanted to begin with then you should stick with it

I have an elbow length veil and a blusher to walk down the aisle with...I love my veil and will have it on all through the reception!

Same here. I have a cathedral length veil and there is NO WAY that is staying on past the 1st dance!

I bought a set....two tier fingertip veil with a cathedral. I will take the cathedral off after the church and pictures.

Me too... after the cathedral comes off, it's a fingertip... pics in my album...

Thanks. I am gonna go on Sunday to Macy's Bridal and try on veils with my dress. I will choose what I think looks the best.

I am wearing a fingertip veil for ceremony and pics possibly first dance I am also wearing a tiara so that will be on for the reception.

I fell in love with a pronovias cathedral length veil (V1424). It actually like a mantilla, but instead of lace, it has a ruffle around the veil edge. The models on the pronovias site frequently have cathedral length veils, and they are worn in both traditional ways (like you would walk down the isle), and less traditional ways.....

I will adopt one of them. During our reception, I will wear the veil as a wrap. I think it will work well becuase of the ornamental edge....

My veil is 'elbow length' and I love it!!! Cathedral is beautiful but after seeing my veil on with my headpiece I don't wanna take it off!! What kind of back is ur dress?? Theres a lot going on in the back of my dress the whole back of the bottom is french bustled so the cathedral veil would take away from the dress. I think it depends on the dress also.

I am doing a cathedral length and a fingertip (i think thats what it is) for the ceremony and will use the shorter one as a blusher...after the ceremony and pics I am taking the cathedral off and moving the shorter one so I can wear it all night.

Mine is cathedral for the ceremony and fingertip for the reception. Phyllis at Bridal Elegance gave me both really cheap.

Can you get a veil with 3 layers. 1 cathedral length, 1 fingertip and 1 blusher and make the cathedral layer detachable?

Thats what I have...but I am not sure yet if I will wear it for the reception, probably just for the 1st dance.

yea fingertip for me.....not wearing it all night though
