Veil...over face?

Who's covering their face with their veil as they walk down the aisle and who's not? And why? I'm trying to decide. Thanks.

I am...

I am going to wear the blusher over my face. I think it will be a great moment, when my veil gets lifted and we look into each others eyes for the first time.

Yes...veil over face

I am personally wearing my veil over my face. Why? Because it's tradition and I like the idea of my father lifting it over my head so that my groom can see my face for the first time right in front of him. Sappy right? Lisa

Sucker for tradition....

I am defintely having a blusher as I think it looks so beautiful and dreamy and I am a sucker for tradition. My mom also really wanted me to wear one as well.

Veil...over face?... No!

I'm not wearing the veil over my face. We're traditional people, but I'm already nervous about the ceremony, and to me, having the veil over my face will make me even more nervous. A couple of other reasons are because it's not me. It's a very formal tradition. It just doesn't go with our personalities, or our type of wedding. Our wedding is formal to a point, but we're not having the full Catholic Mass or anything, so it doesn't fit. I think it's a personal preference. My FMIL insists that I do that, but if I don't feel comfortable doing that, I'm not. Just my opinion. It's your wedding, do what you want, even if it's out on the beach, if it's something you've always dreamed of doing, then go for it!!! Good luck!

no, too

I am not for many of the same reasons melissa said...its just not me...I wasn't even going to get a veil at first. Also, FH and I are going to see each other before the ceremony.

Yes, I think

I have a lot of time still but I always pictured my dad pulling it over my head and kissing me. Maybe its sappy but I think I will do it.

Veil

Even though I'm marrying my soul mate of 9 years and we have a 3 year old daughter, I have decided to wear a veil over my face. I just want the moment when I walk down the aisle to special for me and him. But, I haven't decided if I'm wearing my veil attach to my tiara at the reception or will I take it off.

Veil...over face? I didnt decied until that day.

And I decided against it. For what ever reason it just felt too clostrophobic(sp) for me. I didnt really give it much thought before, I just assumed I would but it came down to I just didnt like it.

Yes, I think

I think I will wear the blusher over my face, I just think it will be more dramatic. Although, my cousin had thought the same thing when she was getting married but she wound up changing her mind just seconds before because she said it bugged her because it kept getting cought on her eyelashes. So hey even if you decide on one thing today you can always change your mind...just do what is comfortable for you.

Not sure yet

On one hand I like the tradition but I also think it could be a pain. What if it doesn't lay flat after it is lifted? I will try it with and without and decide a few days before.

not me

while I like the idea of having the moment with my dad lifting my veil...I don't like the idea of walking down the aisle without being able to see clearly, and, with the style of my dress, I like the veil better without the blusher.
