I went to priscilla today and found a veil that I loved that went perfectly with my dress, only problem is it was $600, I almost fainted. Is this normal?
It was a cathedral length waterfall veil with a satin trim. Does this sound right? Any suggestions where I can get a similar one?

I got a two tier ( catheral and fingertip) with a blusher for $675 at Bridal Suite in Bay Shore. Both veils have lace with crystals on the edge all the way around. I went everywhere and they were the cheapest I got prices as high as $!800!!!!

try barron's in tri-county. If you have a picture they may be able to replicate it for you for much cheaper.

veils are expensive if you get it at a bridal store
thats why i got mine on ebay for 20 bucks lol

I got a cathedral veil from Pronovias for around $700...so the price sounds 'normal.' However, I do think it's insane to spend that much!! I wouldnt have spent it...but my mother pretty much demanded I get it and she paid for it

my veil is 120 but its not a catheral usually they are more expensive

You handled it much better than I would have. I would have actually fainted. That is way too much to pay for a veil. Try the internet. I saw some really pretty veils that were much less expensive. I picked up a plain two tier vail for $16 at the craft store. I'm going to sew some ribbon on the border and glass beads on it myself.

My veil was in DB for $189,....I found it on ebayt, new for $100.
Your cost sounds about right, but I would look around a bit more if its something you're not comfortable spending.

Definitely go to Barrons.....I got the same exact one, cathedral length with 1/2 inch of satin trim for $115...the bridal salon wanted $1200!!!

I purchased my cathedral veil at kleinfelds when I bought my dress. I spend a lotttt of money on it but it was made by the designer specifically for my dress so it was perfect! I had to have it. I say if you love it and it matches perfectly then why not!

unfortunately that does sound about right.. :( veils are so expensive in the bridal stores.. Mine was 495 and if i wanted a blusher it was 200 more.. so i decided against the blusher!! lol
