vellum paper in gold

i found vellum paper in gold online but i'm not sure how translucent it will really be - i am looking to use it for my wedding programs. i want people to be able to see the photos or text i have under the vellum paper so i don't want the gold color to make it too opaque. has anyone used gold vellum or seen it?

i could use clear vellum on top of gold colored paper instead- would that be better?

I used 'clear' vellum for parts of my invitations and my Save the Dates and the pictures/text were definitely viewable with the slight opaque hue that the vellum adds.

I have never used gold vellum, but I have seen it. I think it depends on how gold the vellum actually is. But if you are concerned that people will not be able to see your pictures/text, you may want to opt for the clear vellum just to be safe.

Or maybe order just one packet of the gold vellum online and do a trial run to see if it gives you the effect you like.
