Velvet, Duet, Patken, Bella, TimeExposures, Artisan, Twelfth

Original post by cindy104

I'm in the process of scheduling appointments with these Photographers. I was wondering if anyone used and/or had any feedback on these photographers. (Additional suggestions would be great too!) We're hoping to stay somewhere under $3500 (without video) if possible!!

Also, if anyone could send me the quotes that they received, that would be GREAT. We're looking for a place that does digital photos and gives you all the high-resolutions digital images on a disc. And would like a basic album too!!

I met with Dominick at Twelfth Night and I LOVED him and their work. We are definitely considering them, but want to just get an idea of other photographers out there.

TIA!!!!

i used TimeXposures and was very happy with them! Jon, the owner, is awesome. he will work with you to customize a package that meets your budget and needs. we worked the CD with the digital proofs into the contract for an additional $300. you can check out my proofs on my website, www.laceyandmark.com and you can see my album in my LIW album. i LOVE our album! you get a lot for your money with TimeXposures and i love the way our pics came out! def meet with Jon soon! good luck in your search!

I looked at 12th night, Glenmar Studios and Golden Moments Dan Saviano. I really liked 12th Night (Dom is super nice and the photos are great).... BUT I ended up choosing Golden Moments because I loved Dan's photos even more. The prices were right about the same for 12th night and Golden Moments. Also, I clicked more with Pat and Dan.

I think it is really important for you to meet with your photographers and see who you feel more comfortable working with on the day of your wedding.

We're using Duet, Alberto's team...and we are under 5K with video, so I think you'll be able to stay in your price range with Duet. Good luck!

I used patken. No problems with the sales approach at all. They were my first and only choice after meeting kevin at a Bridal showcase. Nick was out photographer and Ray our videographer. Take a look at my review. You can also visit this link to see my digital album design

We booked with Velvet Studios...Bob is great to work with (Velvet also did my sister's wedding). I love their work and the packages fit our needs. Some of my epics are in my profile- check them out.

Good luck!

Domenick at Twelfth Night was the first vendor I met with and booked him on the spot! I loved him and his work and have 100% confidence in him and his staff. Good luck!

I looked at 12th Night, Duet & Velvet and ultimately booked Velvet. You can see some of the pics (both wedding and e-pics) in my album.

Didn't choose 12th Night b/c DH wanted a package that included albums, which Dom didn't do. Didn't choose Duet b/c you can't meet actually photographer until the day of (there is no guarantee that e-pic photographer and day of photographer will be the same), and we were concerned a bit about the language barrier. Didn't even look at Patken b/c they told me over the phone you can't meet photographer until after you sign contract. This was all in 2005. Any or all of these policies may have changed.

Not true about Duet- I picked my photographer after viewing his work, met him before my e-pics and WILL have him on my wedding day.

All I can say is I loooooooooooooove Duet and my photgrapher Jay.

Hey there...in the end, you'll go with who you are most comfortable with BUT we just booked Patken...I can't say enough about them...our meeting with them was so incredibly comfortable..we left there knowing that our pics would be great! The staff is so nice and takes their time explaining all of your opitions...I would check them out! good luck with it all!!!

Bob from Velvet was amazing and accomodating. He worked with our budget and we are getting everything we want. I had to call and change our date, no problem. I called to take out Parent albums which our parents dont want, and that lowered our price a lot!

Although he isnt on your list, you should consider Artistic Images. We used them for our wedding and we are very happy with our proofs. We have referred 3 people to him since our wedding and all3 have booked with him. He does digital photography. We worked with the ownere Artie. His website is Art-isticimages.com

Excellent I'll check them out too, thank you!

We used 12th night and Dom is fantastic to work with. He does offer albums and he designs it with you. I liked the idea of not having to buy an album package before you get your proofs. Once you agree to an album package of 100 pictures and you decide after you see your proofs you want 120 you will be charged A LOT for those extra images. Good luck!
