YAY!!! I've finally booked the hall. Now on to the next heartache, how much money do Bands/Florists/Photographers usually require for a deposit to hold the date? I just want to make sure we have the money before we try to book.

Most the vendors I booked required 1/3 of the total.

Do they require all that 1/3 at the time that you reserve the date? That's more than the catering hall!

Yes they did. It is more then the catering hall but you have to think the catering hall is usually a MUCH BIGGER chunk of money then a dj, florist or photographer.
My limos I left $500 and all the other vendors we left $800.

not all vendors require 1/3 when you book. my limos were $150, florist $50, DJ $50, photo/video $800.

I left 300 photos 200 dj 300 video thats all i have done so far...

Florist was 20% Photo - 1/3 total Video - $500 Hall - $2500 Hair and makeup - no deposit DJ - $200
