I just wanted to share this story to vent really, thats why I wont write any specific names....but I was so disappointed, I had to write it out and let out some steam....
So yesterday FH, my parents, and I had an appointment with a photographer that you hear about on here relatively often. We also knew about them b/c we had a family friend who used them and in addition, they were also at my reception hall's expo a few weeks ago.
So we thought, okay....relatively good reviews on here from past brides....lets make an appointment and go check them out!
When I call to make the appointment, this guy answers, and he sounds very distracted, almost like he was laughing with someone else in the room.... but I tried to ignore it and I asked him if this date and day were available to come in and talk about packages, and he says SURE, takes my name and number down, repeats the date and time, and then I hang up thinking we are set to go!!
I get there last night, (and keep in mind my FH took off from work for this and I rearranged my work schedule for this) and as I walk in, to my surprise, the guy is in the middle of an E-shoot in the the studio. He looks at me like 'Can I help you????' (And the poor couple, was like, who are these people??) And I'm like 'yes, I'm so and so , and we have a 6:00pm appointment. '
He proceeds to go into his office, speak to a lady secretary whom I'd never spoken to before, come back out, and hes like, 'I dont have you down for any appointment. Who did you speak to on the phone?. '( I really wanted to say, YOU dumb***, b/c I was almost positive it was him who answered...its the only 2 of them in the office and it wasn't her!!!..... but I backed down and just said I didn't get a name ) So he's like..... well, let me see if I can 'work something out for you'

Like hes doing us a big giant favor, meanwhile hes the one who messed up, no apology, nothing.....why be like that, I don't understand it??
I'm like buddy...you already either lost, messed up or just completely never wrote down my appointment....so far your booking chances for ME trusting YOU on my wedding day aren't so good!!
The guy was just NOT friendly...never gave me his name, never shook my hand, had this fake smile the whole time. Just very cold!
He sat us down in the back, handed us 3 or 4 albums, a price sheet....and left us there for 15 minutes. He then came back, asked me if I had any questions...I said yes, 'can you tell me who was the photography for this album, I really like his or her work'....he says to me 'Oh, thats somebody who's not available for your wedding day so I rather not talk about it or give out names'

How weird!! Not even give a name? Whats the big secret...if hes not available, hes not available, no problem. Hmm!
I swear I walked out to that place scared to death to go see another vendor. I thought, if this is the way they treat you, then why I am even putting myself through this?? For the thousands of dollars we spend on photography, I was at least hoping he'd write down my appointment or be at least a little bit nice to me when I got there. : (
Sorry this is SO long...I just had to vent a bit!!
