Vendor seating

Where did you girls put or are putting your vendors for the seating plan?

Re: Vendor seating

If i didn't work in the industry I would have them sit in the cocktail hour room so I don't have to spend more $ on centerpieces.

But I do so there are going to be 2 tables set up by the DJ booth on either side.

I never even thought of having a table for them!

I'm not making a table for them. I never even thought of it. When I have worked weddings I always sat in another room.

Ditto. Our MD told us that they'd handle it.

Re: Vendor seating

Jericho terrace seats our vendors in a separate room so they do not get included in my seating chart.

Made my life easier!

they aren't included in that, they are supposed to be working! The venue usually has a place for the vendors to eat comfortably.

I had them seated in the back of the room...I wanted my photographers to be in the same room so that they didn't miss any picture opportunities. They used one of my CPs from the CH on the table and it looked fine.

I'll only have like 3 vendors there, so I think I'll put them wayyyyy in the back.

They didn't really have seats. I don't know where they ate!

I never even thought of that. I am not putting a seperate table for them. They can eat in the cocktail hour room which is right next door. I have 3 photographers so I just figured they could rotate so they are not all gone at the same time

Ha.. comfortably. hahaha...
And yes, at times the vendors don't stop working so they don't get a chance to eat. This is why they sometimes grab food during cocktail hour and bring it back into the main room so they aren't with the other guests eating.

I'm using them as filler at tables that aren't completely full but near the dance floor.

My hall actually refuses to feed our vendors.. and says that they should eat during cocktail hour, otherwise it's full price per person.. so I don't know what to do. I was thinking of just gettign them like sandwiches or something.. and having a table for them in the back somewhere? I dunno..

I would advise your vendors of this ahead of time so that they can prepare and bring a sandwich or fruit or something. My hall doesn't do 1/2 price for vendors or kids.. we're charged 2/3 but full full price isn't right imo.

Thanks for the responses girls! I just spoke to my BM and he said that the vendors are not added to the seating plan and that they would take care of it.

Our hall charges full price for vendors if we're under our minimum but either way I still plan to feed them. Look in your contracts some state they you have to feed them. I can;t imagine the photog or video people who are working 8+ hours lugging around their equipment and something to eat.

I was going to see if I could set up a smaller table in the back of the room with a few chairs so they could eat back there. I don't want to torture them by making them sit with family
