Re: vendors?
the only place i have looked at is the north ritz club and fell in love with it, it is nicer than most wedding halls i have been to, but i'd like to know what people thought of the reception hall managers, the food, any wedding nightmares or great experiences?

Re: vendors?
yes, absolutely negotiate with everyone. we got $5 off per head at the reception hall...we went w/ chateau la mer. didn't check out many in nassau at all, except for sail harbor which was too small for our 200+ guests. as for vendors, all i've done so far (still very early for me) is the dress at Bridal Reflections in Massapequa, negotiated price down about $500 because it was over $2000. but i know for sure, every price you are quoted is up for negotiation. good luck!

ALWAYS negotaite no matter what type of vendor it is!! I refuse to pay full price for anything!!! esp. since I am getting married off day and off season. We are spending enough money as it is!! At first I felt bad but now I haggle with the best of them

It tiring, but it can be done. I am an OOT bride so, I had to make my visits during my trips home. I just made my appointments before hand. I made appt for places in the same vacinity and gave myself 1 1/2 to 2hrs btw them for travel. (You can pretty much hit most sites driving along Jericho Tpke) If I finished early at one, I called my next appt to see if I could come earlier.
