Has anyone encountered a vendor not returning your call or email for a week? I emailed my florist a question for the first time and he never got back to me....Should I be concerned?

I bet Long Island wedding vendors are the busiest wedding vendors! A couple of mine take a few days or more to respond sometimes (never a week, I don't think).

It was my florist pedestals and they arent even a vendor on here. I called again today and they said that vito was out and has been busy...so that means he cant return a simple email? I just dont want to jump the gun and overeact...

Oh that's so weird! I met with Vito and he seemed pretty on the ball! He calls me every 3 weeks or so to see if I still need flowers for my wedding. He always leaves a VM and I have yet to tell him that I went with another florist! I'm sure he'll get back to you soon!

that's probably bc he needs new business, he already has mine Lovin oven still calls me all the time too. It is very discouraging that these vendors are great when you first sit with them and then they fade out....i'm starting to think i made a few wrong choices and dont think i can afford to lose my deposits

if he was out then that might explain it. I would leave a message to have him call you back. Sometimes with email it can be a pain. Either your email can go into their spam folder, its happened to me with vendors but the other way around. I had vendors email me and then me not answering and them calling me after a while wondering why i didnt answer them back. I didnt know but it was in my spam folder and i felt horrible that they thought i was ignoring their email. Or if they are out and dont check their email, when they get back they'll be very busy and on top of that have alot of emails to answer so will take longer to get to.
I didnt use vito, i used Nadia and she was real good at getting back to me when i called her.

I met with a local florist 3 weeks ago and she said she would put some sample CPs together for me. I didn't hear from her until my mom stopped by the other day. The woman said so many people have been renting the pedestal things that the high CPs are going to be on... and made an appt. for this coming Sat.
I don't think they forgot about you.... maybe they are just busy. Try going in person if that's possible.

aww! Don't second guess yourself! I've seen some of Vito's work and his arrangements look beautiful! He's probably just out of the showroom on vacay or something and they're just not very good with relaying messages.

sorry not sure what else to tell you then. Did you get the name of the person whom you left a message with to tell vito to call you back?
I would call and say something. With Nadia, whenever i left a message, she would call me back the same day.

i just dont get people who dont respond to email in this day and age. I just wanted to throw it out there to see what others thought. It was only a cake question so it can wait...I hope he gets back to me this week...Keep your fingers crossed

after being on this site for a long time, ive noticed that MANY ladies on here say they sometimes have to wait for their vendors to get back to them. I didnt email any of my vendors except for photographer bc she would get back to me ASAP either within mins or just a few hours, unless she was away since she takes pics out of nyc and sometimes outside the US.

Oh dont worry. Ive waited 6 weeks for a vendor to return an email when I asked for a signed copy of my contract. He answered that he was sending it and its been a few weeks now and guess what!! No contract!!
PS the vendor was not Pedestals

My planner has been having the same issue with my florist. Its so difficult to get in touch with anyone but the receptionist! We also had the same trouble a few months ago with the photographer. It got so bad that we started looking into other photographers. I guess everyones busy, and thank goodness it has worked out!
