We were 100% sure we knew which DJ we wanted to hire for the wedding as he does a lot of music from our backgrounds, but now we can't use them because our RH needs each outside vendor to have liability insurance :( Boo!
Is this something that you all have faced? I'm new to this so wasn't sure if this is around most RH's or just the Watermill.

I think all RHs make your vendors have insurance. Check with your DJ he probably has it if he does a lot of parties

Yeah I already checked w/ two different ones and neither had it. I was surprised because they go to clubs as well. Hm, the search continues...

Hah, the two DJ's I knew, I know they've played at weddings before in reception halls (very specific ones so maybe that's why they didn't need it) and they were surprised when I asked them for insurance.

My friend is dj'ing at my wedding and I asked him if he had insurance which he didn't but told me it wasn't hard to get. A week later, he emailed me a copy of the insurance. Don't know how much it cost or the process but it didn't seem like it was hard to get.

I would imagine your DJ has liability insurance.... ALL rh's require insurance.
