Has anyone else run into this issue? The only Florist I found that actually had pricing listed (that was not those horrible tacko silks that look 'ok i guess' in photos then yous ee them in person and just.. whoa.) was www.thecenterpieceflowers.com - so I e-mailed them and so far, its been wonderful.
Besides the florist though... yeah, nothing, nada, zilch. I had to call every single vendor... get the sales pitch, go in and meet... etc. So damn time consuming.
But now my MOH is planner her wedding (you thinks he could have waited 60 days.. haha, nah its all good I am joking) and this vendor is several hours out of range to do her flowers. (she is Pennsylvania, my MOH) She is having a hell of a time finding pricing.
When will vendors understand that by listing prices we are FAR more likely to contact them!?

Vendors will not list pricing, why?
I've been emailing vendors so I don't actually have to talk to anybody. A lot of them made us come in to give us price quotes. But this website has been very helpful in that other brides are willing to share quotes they got at those vendors, which gives you a ballpark figure before you go there.

I emailed a couple a of places with pictures of what I was looking for and they emailed me back a price quote. I emailed every vendor I am working (and more) and was able to receive a quote via email. Have you tried that?

I haven't run into this problem luckily. Every place I have tried will give me the quotes over the phone or email.

I had this problem when I was planning. I live in Queens and a lot of the places wouldn't give me a quote and I had to come in on a week night after work. It just wasn't working for me. Too far, too late and I would spends nights sitting in traffic. All of the places I used were because they have me their prices upfront or have me examples of things and their prices. My florist gave me a rough estimate of what she could do in the colors I wanted and it worked perfectly.

I've found that emailing them and asking they usually give some kind of price list or range. It is annoying that they don't list prices on the websites, since it's the first thing people ask anyway and is still going to be a deciding factor no matter what!

I know!! SO many venues wouldn't give me pricing over the phone. I was looking all over LI coming from SI and listen I don't have time to run back n forth everyday when my FH works nights and I don't drive. It was soooo frustrating. Many places would ask 'Well what can you spend'... I don't wanna tell you what I can spend (not much) I wanna know what you charge so I know if I should even bother.. Best of luck. You'll figure it out an be fine :)

I received a few quotes/price ranges via email. The only place that refused to do so of the ones I asked was Fox Hollow, even after I asked for even just a range/ball and told them others had provided that. They got quiet after that. I found it to be a turn-off!
