Re: Vendors with offices in thier homes
Doesn't bother me at all! Our DJ has their offices attached to their homes (totally professional) and our florist also works out of her home (not nearly as professional, but I'm not worried).

Re: Vendors with offices in thier homes
I met with our band and the woman who we are getting invitations from in both of their homes. Explain it to FH this way - the $$ the dj (or whoever) saves from having overhead like an office is extra savings for you guys!

I have noticed that MANY dj's and even some Photographer run out of their homes. Honestly netiher me or my FH even thought twice about it... It all depends on how u feel... Good Luck

Re: Vendors with offices in thier homes
I met a DOC at her home office; I was a little uneasy going by myself so FH came with me. It wasn't as uncomfortable as I thought but I'm still glad FH came with me.
We had our DJ come to FH's house for a meeting; he's in NJ and he said it would be easier for him to come to us since he had other meetings in NY. It wasn't bad at all; a little distracting with FH's nephew trying to touch all the DJ's stuff but it was a comfortable setting. But we know the DJ from previous parties so it wasn't like a total stranger was coming into FH's home.

I think it is more common now... I'm not bothered by it. Our photogs work out of their home... I think now that everything is digital it is more cost effective for them that way. I know I would work from home if I could!

I am not bothered by it either ........ Whether they are in their office or home, if they are professional it shouldnt matter.

Re: Vendors with offices in thier homes
I think I met almost all of my vendors in offices at their homes. There was only one vendor who had their office at their home that we were uncomfortable with and we wound up booking someone else. Other than that, I don't see any issue with it. Just means there is no excuse for them not to get to work!
