Would a traditional Italian catholic brides bouquet be chosen by her FH? Is the bride not supposed to wear any gold? Would the street or outside church be lined with brightly coloured pot plants? What form of transport is used for the bride to arrive? Is there anything apart from gondoler which is considered traditional transport? Thanks to those who replied to my earlier post, all help very very gratefully recieved!! Oh and websites or books if you know of any??

well first i just want to say that not all italian brides do a venetian theme. So maybe more of what you are looking for is an italian traditional wedding.
Personally, never seen any brides whose FH picked the bouquet. Not sure if its an old school thing they do in italy though but never heard of it.
Are you looking for info on weddings in italy how they are done or italian brides living in the USA and what they do?
I never seen someone decorate the streets of the church. Some do inside the church or maybe do a little something in front, never seen pot plants though.
Ok the gondola question i guess answered my above question, youre looking for ideas specifically about weddings done in italy and im guessing just in venice.
Sorry had to ask bc a venetian theme can mean just the decor at the wedding. And italian brides dont all do venetian theme, so not sure if youre looking for just VENETIAN inspired weddings or Italians in general

I kinda think I've got this thing all wrong! I began looking at a Venetian theme for the colours, then because I have to research a religion in this assignment I decided to choose a Catholic Italian couple who were including a Venetian theme in their day. I live in England and the wedding has to take place in this country. So, what I now believe I actually need to research is Italian Catholic Ceremony and then look at the Venetian theme as a seperate thing. All the stuff I have included in my original post is what I have read i.e. the pot plants the groom choosing the bouquet etc.
