Anyone else having their reception in the regency room? They are saying I would have my cocktail hour from 730-9. At first I was excited they were giving me an extra half hour, but now I am doing the math and that means my guests won’t sit down to eat until 9--with salad and pasta they won’t be eating their entree until 10pm right?
Has anyone experienced this? Does it sound worse than it was?

FH and I have the extra half hour also but we put it towards the reception instead. We have 630-730 and then 730-12. I agree it does seem late but people will eat at cocktail hour also. At my cousin's wedding her cocktail ended at 730 also but I never noticed how late we were eating.

FH cousin had her wedding late at VYC. Cocktail hour was MORE than enough to hold everyone over and I didn't even realize how late we were eating.

VYC cocktail hour is huge!!!
At my wedding, after cocktail hour, my uncle from out of town asked my mom what happens next, and she said 'well, we have dinner,' to which he replied, 'OMG, I ate so much, I thought that WAS dinner.'
