VENT- FH's family

Long story short...over the past 5 years FH has constantly chosen his family over me. He will drop our plans at the drop of a hat to appease his family.

Today I call him to confirm our plans and he tells me he needs to hang out with his brother. Now last Saturday he broke our plans to hang out with him and he same thing today. I have had enough. He has no balls and can't stand up against them. For once I would like to be the one he chooses.

I told him if this keeps up he will be finding a new bride!!!!

Honestly I think you need to sit down with him and have a long talk. How he is treating you is absolutely not right. Due to his actions its going to become impossible for you to take him at his word, and all this is only going to fester and turn into something that could potentially ruin your relationship.

He asked you to marry him, and with that comes responsibility. By getting married you are forming a NEW family, YOUR family...he needs to put that new family first above anything else. He can absolutely still be with his family, but if he makes plans with you he needs to honor them.
