I swear to ... if your son and his FW are struggling with cutting people from their guest list, and the lovely bride emails you and asks if you have to cut people, is there anyone you can cut? WOULD YOU RESPOND 'UH-OH.... I WAS GOING TO ADD MORE PEOPLE ACTUALLY'
WOULD YOU DO THAT WHEN YOU KNOW HOW STRESSED OUT THEY ARE OVER THIS???

I finally just spoke with FH and he agreed that was not an appropriate response by FMIL... at least he's on my side!!! He said he'll 'take care of it' with her...

Make sure he does! I've had issues with FMIL like this before and when FH says he'll take care of it and then a few days later I ask what happened, he says oh it was probably nothing, don't worry about it. ARGGG!!!

Oh he will... b/c he knows that if he doesn't, I'll eventually flip out on her. He just happens to be in the middle of a work set right now (cop) so he can't do it until tomorrow night. I have ZERO focus on my work right now, which is not good at all. #$()*@#(*$)(#!!!!

Did your FMIL talk to my FMIL last night?!??!?!?! FH & I basically had the same situation but w/E-party invites. I dont know if its a control thing or what but basically my FMIL accused FH & I hiding the responses from her (NO JOKE ) so she cant invite more ppl. FH took care of it but she was on a rampage!!!!! I was just sitting back watching w/FFIL. Sorry you are going through this! Hopefully she will rant & rave and get it out of her system!

No, he hasn't spoken to her yet b/c of work - she goes to bed at like 8pm. He gets home between 7:30 and 8, and leaves for work at 6:15am. Thankfully tomorrow is the last day of this work set!
Yikes that's ridiculous!!!! Hiding responses? You should have stacked a set of dummy responses like under a couch cushion where she'd eventually find it. With one word on the back of each... 'You' 'Are' 'Insane'

Let their invitations gets 'lost' in the mail.
FMIL wanted us to go to a family reunion this past weekend so we could meet more relatives (who FH wouldn't know if they punched him in the face) to invite to the wedding...
I couldn't believe she was even suggesting inviting people we have never even met. Really? You want me to pay beaucoup bucks to feed people who I have never and will never see again? NOT happening.

I hear you!! I emailed my FMIL to ask if they want to invite any friends and if they could make sure we have everyones correct addresses.... a week later, she responds by emailing FH back to tell him.... AGHHH, why wouldnt she email ME back when i'm the one who sent the email!!!
