So I'm a little POed at FH as he just told his cousin randomly last night that his daughter will be the flower girl. We had mentioned it months ago when we were all on speaking terms and FH was picked to be the godfather (which was over a yr ago and no christening yet) but it was never a final decision. FH's family hasn't spoken to him, his wife or seen the baby( she will be 4 in Feb) in months and we weren't even going to send them a STD as we weren't sure how the relationship would be come the wedding. And now FH tells him that his daughter will be the flower girl. I'm just a little P.O. and needed to vent ladies... Thanks for listening.

Sounds like maybe FH is trying to mend fences? Still, he should have discussed it with you first!

I agree he should have talked to you first. Definitely talk to him and find out why he did it - he should know that you are in this together & should be making all the decisions together as well. Hopefully he had a good reason to ask & will explain to you. Don;t worry things will work out!

Just talk to him, maybe since you discussed it months ago he thought it was ok.

Thanks ladies for listening. I did speak to FH and he said that he was caught off guard as his cousin was interrogating him about the wedding. That's how his cousin is as he has done that to me in the past. FH's cousin and his family like to come in and out of our lives so I guess we will play it by ear.

Well don't hold it against the little girl. I'm sure she would love to be your flower girl and it should mean something being that your future family wants to be part of your special day. I wouldn't get mad.
