Vent: My parents, a bit late getting on the guest list bandwagon
I was talking to my parents last night about the favors and they just don't get that we aren't giving out a little nick-nack to people. We are doing Cracker Jacks (for the baseball theme) and a donation to the cancer research center that helped with FH.
In their mind when you go to a wedding you get a nick-nack but we really havent found anything we like and we feel our favor is fun but also for a great cause and something obviously close to us.
So with that conversation I mention how many we need and their mouths drop. 'well what happened to XXX amount of people' umm you looked over the guest list, you saw who we had to invite so this shouldnt be a surprise. What would you like me to do now? STD's went out like a year ago!!!!
Maybe they had some sticker shock but umm its a little late for that now - don't bust my b@lls now!! Invites are in the house, ready to be mailed, so cut the sh!t!!!!
