so my FH's godfather is goin to be doing our wedding...which is great...and he even offered to do the church program....so we went over the procession and how things would go...at first he was going to put the names in processional order in the program, which means my name would be last... ....which wasnt too visually pleasing to me.....so later we called and asked if we could put names in normal order like our names....then parents...then BP....etc...now he tells us he cant put the names at all in the program....bc it'll confuse things in the mass...and that we have to put the names in the invites cuz that's how its done traditionally....but we're not tradionalists....at least not completely ....but we already did DIY invites and didnt include names....bc we've seen names in the program...so now i have no choice but to do waht the priest says....cuz who am i to argue with him...and FH always says its whatever i want....and he just looks at me...like i'm the only one to say things about the wedding... ..so that's all i have to vent for now...hope it makes sense....

I know how you feel..my FH is always about 'whatever YOU want'..I get mad cause last time I checked i'm not the only one up there!
You should politely voice your opinions..maybe bring in a sample of a program you like and maybe he can replicate?

sux sometimes to have the wedding of your dreams....doesnt it i dont know what to do...do you politely argue with the priest...i felt like screaming and cryin, when he was telling me that he wont' put the names in the program....i couldnt hold it in....felt like running to the bathroom....but what am i supposed to do....if FH goes talks again to his priest...then i become the bad guy! i know its no big deal...but it 'MY' wedding

Enjoy the 'whatever you want'. MY FH is the complete opposite! I am so scared to start planning the wedding! He has already picked tuxes he loved that had a baby blue vest. Uhhhh, my colors that I want are pink and brown? LMFAO! Now I guess we will be doing blue instead? I am more laid back and will try to integrade everything in, I suppose. But he is going to have his hand in every aspect. HELP! I'm so scared, lol!

Is the program done already? Can you try to do it on your own or through someone else so you can have it done the way you want? Sometimes doing things through people you know is more difficult, I speak from experience!

oh trust me! i know exactly what you mean the phrase 'if you want it done right, do it yourself' has been repeated in my head a bunch of times!!!
but i am not going to take over the ceremony....our priest would DEF. me mad at that....i'm just going to let it go and just somehow insert the names in the program....
