Really it's my wedding dress and then she goes we need you to pick up by Sunday! I'm like wait no body told us when we ordered the dress that I needed to pick it up I rhaught most places keep your dress but I guess not davids bridal no I'm pissed that I have my dress and have tocarry my dress back and fourth for fittings My mom called them and argued with the women and was like well we have special garnets bags that keep itfrom turning yellow my mom said and I'm notmpaying for that your giving it to me for free they wants like 60 bucks for it and thank god they gave it to us because nobody told us that I needed to hold on to the dress I guess I will have to make the best of it

Re: Venting.....
Yea your telling me I didn't pay for it! We argued about it and we have no place to store the dress my grandmother was nice enough to put a hook in her Delong in her spare bedroom that nobody uses and I'm storing it there I'm just. Not happy !

That totally sucks! I'm so sorry you have to deal with this. I don't know which DB you went to, but some of them have a real bad reputation for sucky customer service.

Re: Venting.....
Yup they dont hold it...my bridal attendant actually told me when I first went to look at dresses..I was told to leave the plastic bag open in the white dress bag and the dress should be fine. I have had mine for about 10 months and it is fine..And I am glad they gave you the bag for free. The woman told me that they usually only due one fitting and then just before you can bring it in to get steamed. HTH

Re: Venting.....
$60? I have my dress and it is far from $60.
I think you will be ok - just try not to try it on too often! I love peaking at mine whenever I go to visit FH mom :)

Sorry But, yes, DB always makes you store your own dress. There's no reason you need to deal with them for alterations if you don't want to though.
My sister's BM dress came in DURING the hurricane and they called and told my dad he had two days to pick it up... as if he didn't have other things to worry about then.
Oh my! That's a little ridiculous!

Re: Venting.....
This is a horrible policy-what if you don't have anywhere to store it that FH can't see it. They should definitely tell people this before they purchase a dress.

I actually knew DB won't hold it only bc of a friend, though. I agree it is ridiculous, though

Re: Venting.....
I did hear that Davids Bridal does that. I'm surprised no one told you that or had you sign something stating you are aware you have to keep the dress yourself. That's a big disappointment for something that was not aware of their policy! Sorry...

Re: Venting.....
Thats whats tough about using David's Bridal, they do not store the dresses.
