The other day we were at a Funeral Luncheon (sounds weird) and I was going to get a piece of chocolate cake. My FSIL (who is usually nice) said to me are you going to get cake? Don't you have your wedding coming up? I was so insulted I didn't know what to do. FYI, our wedding is in November. So, I just sat down and ate my cake And it was soo good. I think I look fine. I have lost 30 pounds so far and only want to lose 5 more. I am 5'3 and weigh 135 pounds. I don't think I am crazy overweight. Thank you for letting me vent!

I am so very sorry about her comment!! It is COMPLETELY out of line. I think you are fine as well, and, most importantly, that your FSIL should mind her business!! Unfortunately, these are the ridiculous comments that us brides to be have to endure!!!

Oh my god , i can't stand people like that....I am sure you look beautiful.. And to be quite honest your weight is within a healthy range for you.. Some people are so stupid. Everybody was talking to me today about everything I eat, and do i always eat healthy and i cannot lose or gain any weight because my dress has already been fitted to my body, i cant stand it anymore.. I JUST FEEL LIKE TELLING PEOPLE SHUT UP AND LEAVE ME ALONE....YOU SHOULD HAVE SHOVED THE CAKE IN HER FACE (lol) just joking but i am sure it is wishful thinking..

That was sh*tty, and you should tell your FH to tell her to shut her mouth, and mind her business. My sister would never ever say that to my FW, but if she did you better believe I'd lay it down on her.

i think it is funny how people feel they have the right to tell anyone about what they are eating...i find that people are more judmental of what we eat around wedding time. my own grandmother didn't want me to order my dress until i went down in size. i felt that i am who i am, FH loves me the way i am and if i loose weight than great, if not, oh well. i think you are fine, and you look great in your picture, so tell her not to eat the cake if she is so worried about it!!!

You need to just laugh at people like that, you're better than being offended by that! You look beautiful and it's up to you to think about what you eat, it's noone else's place. Some people just have no couth. Here, let me give you some more examples of out of line statements to cheer you up... 1) At my friends bachelorett party her FMIL said, 'oh you're having another beer, I guess that's where that (she grabbed a little roll on her stomach) comes from.' Have you ever!?!? 2) My FH and I were hanging out with his family this past Thanksgiving and joking about FH and I having kids. I said that as long as out kids look like one of us, instead of a combination, they'll be fine, since FH tends to have big facial features and I have smaller features. So FMIL says, 'well as long as your kids have FH lips and your butt they'll be fine.' I know I have a big a$$ but I didn't need my FMIL anouncing it to the family! lol! Hope those cheered you up!
