Ok so my cat is about 16 years old now.... she has a problem where sometimes she throws up after she eats (I think its bulimia lol)
Anyways... So I come home from work and FH tells me he just fed her and she threw up 3 times... and goes on to tell me he cleaned it up. So I look and I see 3 paper towels around the living room/dining room area. I am thinking 'ooh good he cleaned up this mess and now it can just dry under the paper towel. So we finish eating dinner and I pick up one of the paper towels to find THROW UP STILL ON THE CARPET!!! So I say to him 'You cleaned this??? with what???' and he tells me... are you girls sitting down???? ALL PURPOSE SURFACE CLEANER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

UMM HELLOOOO ITS A CARPET NOT LINOLEUM FLOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!! I wanted to scream!!!!! He says to me 'Well what was I supposed to use??' UMMM HIIIIIIIIII CARPET CLEANER!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was furious! and he goes on and on about how hes never going to clean up anything anymore and he will just leave it there for me for when I get home LMAOOOOO YeA OKKKK THERE BUDDY THINK AGAIN!!!

OK I feel better now that I have vented

well if it makes you feel any better - i've had a similiar episode with my FI and his comment sounded pretty much like you FIs!! I swear to god they have the same book that they learn from!!

My FH would do the same thing! except he would put on 3 pairs of plastic bags and a face mask before he went anywhere near the cat puke! you gotta love men!

He just told me he used rubber gloves and he said it with the cutest expression on his face, like a little boy that was scolded.. now i feel bad!

Unfortunately we have had the EXACT same situation over here (2 kitties). Only fh uses dishsoap to clean EVERYTHING!!!!!

I like to secretly believe he loves the cats, but most evidence is too the contrary.

I have a cat too. I hope that if that happen to me my FH would have cleaned up the mess. He is trying to bond with my cat.

Each time he does the laundy all he complains about is how I have more clothes than him OH I guess he walks on the floors less than I do, and he uses the bathroom less and eats less dinner....

Yes, Chris you are 100% right. I think they secretly screw up thinking we'll just do it.

MY FH's cat throws up all of the time after she eats. She usually does it right by her bed so we have put cardboard all around it. When she pukes we just throw away the cardboard. Of course, if it's carpet that's another story.

Yep, that sounds about right.

My kitty is 17 (will turn 18 just before the wedding) and she does the same thing. This weekend was the first time FH was around to see the puke, and although he offered to clean it up, I declined his invitation. He probably would have done something similar to yours. You are definitely not alone!
