Venue

Hey ladies! So I'm going to look at my first venue today, and it also happens to be my first choice for our venue. I was wondering if anyone can give me any tips on questions to ask when I go later on. I know the basics of course, but if anyone can give me any insight on questions to ask that might not be as obvious, that would be so great and helpful. Thanks!!

I would make a list of what is important to you and your FH. Since we live out of state, we had to trust our parents and my MOH when picking a venue so we gave them details of what we were looking for. It ended up being a list about the package provided, timing, amount of guests, payment info, how early could we get there, lighting and sound for the space, and could we use outside vendors, etc.

What's included and what's not (table linens, centerpieces, cake, decor etc). They'll probably tell you the big things like minimums, and timing. definitely ask about outside vendors, you may want to bring in your own DJ, DOE Wedding planner, or photographer, most places require proof of insurance from these vendors.

Ask about price for vendor plates, sparkler/confetti policies, food allergies/special needs if relevant. Limitations on room design and or any special elements of the room (fireplaces, waterfalls etc). Parking, other parties going on simultaneously, bathroom attendants and if you can provide toiletries.

That all just kind of spilled out. I hope it helped! :p
