Venue help- The Riviera

Does anyone know about the Riviera at Massapequa? I'm getting married there in
September. I invited 250 guests and i'm worried about space. They hold up to 200. Does anyone have a similar problem or know someone with this problem?

Check on the 2011 board, there is a girl on there who is having her wedding at the Riviera. Also, some people may respond no, so that can lessen the amount of people you originally invited.

i'm getting married at the riviera, and it is definitely a 'smaller sized' venue... i would think 200 would be pretty crowded (they actually featured the riviera on the tv show, 'four weddings' and that featured the girls complaining about how crowded it was - and i believe the bride had approx. 190 guests).

how many guests do you *really* think will be able to attend? it seems like a lot of brides are having acceptance rates around 70%... if that were the case for you, you'd be at 175, which probably would be fine.

hope that helps!

It can go either way.

I really liked Riviera, but I realized it would be very tight with my guest list. it can be small and above 125 or 150 you get people sitting in these little corners, etc. Plus the cocktail space indoors is very small.

On the other hand, I had a 50% no rate on my wedding so you'll probably be ok
