Venue Search Help
Hi I'm recently engaged and starting to search for a venue. I am kind of anti-banquet hall. I love loft feels or more vintage type locations. Love locations that are single event or no more than two. I need help lol. I would consider banquet halls that do not have carpets with bold designs and décor that's not gaudy. I am more for intimate locations. My fiancé is from FL so his entire side would be traveling so i'm hoping for a Saturday date to make it easier for his side (April 18th 25th May 9th 2015 preferred dates)My guestlist is at 175 right now and we would expect about 150 people. Any venue idea or quotes??

Hello! I wanted to suggest East Wind the Estate ballroom in Wading River. It's my venue and it's beautiful. It's got a country/elegant feel. It does have carpeting but other wise it sounds like it fits your wants. I am having 175 max in the room it's so large and beautiful. It does have the hotel on site so it would be perfect for your OOT guests. Let me know if you have nay questions

I felt the same about being anti-banquet hall. I feel like I hit the jackpot with Three Village Inn in Stony Brook. It's absolutely beautiful! I also have a lot of out of towners and we are renting out the majority of the inn, plus there are many hotels in the vicinity.

If you are open to a rented space with a separate caterer then I think you should look into The Foundry in LIC. It is amazingly beautiful. An old factory with rustic touches but still a great old loft style. The Foundry
I went with more of a country club/rustic look, but I internet stalked The Foundry non stop!

If you are open to bringing stuff in, you should look at the Maritime Museum in West Sayville. My sister just got married there a few weekends ago and it was rather remarkable. You never felt like you were outside and the views were amazing. Only downfall is you have to bring everything in yourself but something to keep in mind. Good luck on your search
