thanks ladies!! i've already seen the riviera, mansion @ sayville, and the woodlands. My MOH went to a wedding at Timber Point, and said she really liked it. I hope we can make a decision after this weekend!

good to know!! i have no idea what their price per head is though, they wouldn't give me a range over the phone.
i'm so excited to see this room, even though I basically have one date I can choose - they are so booked!

It depends what month you want and if you want day or night. They are more flexible with day time weddings. September 2014 on a Sunday Night was like $130PP .. Sunday 2014 in July was like $94. Monday of Labor Day during the day they quoted me like $86PP. If you have the ceremony there they give you flowers for the aisle and the fireplace

Obviously, we loved Thatched Cottage :) It's such a beautiful venue and the food is fantastic. We saw Fox Hollow too and while it was definitely beautiful and I've heard great things about it, they didn't have our date, we didn't like the BM we met with, and it just wasn't 'us'. Have fun and hope you find your place!

I don't think Fox Hollow is 'us' either - but I wanted to see it because people have been telling me it's great. They have like no dates that I am interested in, but I keep telling myself to be a bit flexible in that respect.
When I was showing all of the websites to FH, he LOVED what he saw of Thatched Cottage - I'm SO excited to see it in person!

I did the same thing, I wasn't sure about Fox Hollow but I heard great things so I went, I needed to see it and rule it out myself in person. I started out trying to be flexible on date but then FH really wanted to get married on his birthday since we got engaged on mine and once he said that I couldn't get it out of my head! Thatched Cottage is beautiful and the BM Maureen was so nice, she's part of the reason we went with them, I felt so comfortable dealing with her. If you like Thatched and have any questions about it after you go there feel free to FM me. Have a good time visiting places, it really is a fun experience.

My gf got married at Thatched Cottage 2 years ago and it was beautiful!! Only reason why we didn't book with them, was because they didn't have our date available

I love that about your birthdays - so cute!
I have not had a chance to speak to Maureen yet, but I actually want to call today. She was out yesterday and I wanted to check on dates she has available. I will definitely FM you with any questions - thanks so much!

I'm getting married at Timber Point, so I'm a little biased when I say I love it. Three Village Inn was nice too, we just didn't like the fact that they only gave us the option of a Sunday day time wedding since we only have 60 guests. Thatched Cottage was our top choice, but it was two weddings at a time, and they said since we have a smaller guest count, we can only use the upstairs room. Fox Hollow was next on our list, but we ended up booking Timber Point: one wedding at a time, have the whole place to ourselves, fantastic food and they worked with our 60 guest minimum.
