Vera Wang Warehouse Sale

Just got this from Daily Candy...

What: Vera Wang Warehouse Sale
When: 5/17; 8 a.m.-5 p.m.
Where: Penn Plaza Pavilion, 401 Seventh Avenue, between 32nd and 33rd Streets, ground floor (212-575-6400).
Why: Likely if you are getting married, you've heard of this designer. Bridal dresses, were $1,750-$7,000, now $350-$2,500; bridesmaid dresses, were $220-$320, now $50; veils, were $150-$350, now $90-$150.

I'm def. going to stop by and check out the veils too!
The sale is right across the street from Penn station, can't beat that!

I'll be there

I went to the Vera Wang sample sale last January at the Hotel Penn. Be prepared to wait on line for several hours and have girls give you catty looks LOL It's a race to get the dress! Seriously, I waited on line for a few hours, then they let you in and you literally race and grab what you like. Then you have to try the dresses on (which weigh about 75 lbs each) in a big open room in front of everyone. They also had a limited amt of BM dresses when I went.

But it was fun. I didn't get anything because I am petite but I did see many girls walk out with 'The Dress'.

I went to this last April - here is some advice:

Prior to the sale, go to the Vera Wang store and find the dress you want, figure out the size, and then go to the Penn Hotel prior to 6AM. Your goal should be one of the first in before it turns to mayhem grab 'the one' and leave (you won't have to try it on b/c you'll know what size you need). One of BM and I went and it was a disaster. We went 'for fun' and got there at 8AM - well we did not get in the room until 2PM!! But the way the halls turn, we didn't realize how much more there was and kept thinking 'we can't turn back now!' It was so late, that all of the dresses were on the floor, ripped, stained - don't do what I did!

The girls that did well actuall SLEPT in the hall outside the room!! They were the first in a 9AM and were walking out by 9:15 with their Vera Wang dress bag!!

omg! I don't want a veil that badly!
