I would have loved to use Verdi for my wedding but they dont let you keep the negatives and if Im not mistaken their proofs say 'Verdi' on them, and yes they are pricey!

I used verdi and loved loved loved them. They were great to work with from the initial meeting until after we got our album, which turned out beautiful!!

The proofs that you get do not have VERDI written on them, only the ones that you view through the web do.

FM with any questions.

Verdi does beautiful work - but I went to see a ton of photographers before I booked and I found the extremely over priced. I understand you usually get what you pay for, but in this case I couldn't justify the expense - and I am really into pictures.

they work out of their home, but they do not pass the savings onto their clients. You also only get the proofs and ONE album. thats it. If I remember, the shoot digital pictures, so they don't even have the overhead cost of film right? I just feel like they take advantage of their customers by being about $1000 over other comparable photographers, and you really don't get much for your money.

BEAUTIFUL work but they don't give you a lot for your money...

you want quality & quantity to a certain extent.... for a lot of money to start with they only give you like 30 somewhat pictures at the end.

If you love pictures...then you will not love your bank account after you get your proofs and choose your album. :(

I did not find them to be overpriced at all. Yes there were cheaper photographers and yes there was more expensive photographers. You need to choose someone you feel comfortable with. I preferred that they worked out of their home and with only each other because I felt it had a more personable service rather than a photographer that housed multiple people.

As far as being digital, most photographers shoot digital now, at least for part of their pictures and the amount of albums you get depends on the package you pick. I chose not to have parents albums and order portfolios for them instead.

Who ever you end up choosing, just make sure your comfortable with them and with what they are offering you. Good luck!!!

ETA: My album package included over 80 pictures not 30 as mentioned above and we got well over 1000 proofs.

I agree - we used them, we loved them. We saw more expensive people that I wouldn't have used even if they were free.

They just know what they are doing, they work fluidly together and they are flawless photographers.

My package was 36 photos, the online site where family and friends can order photos that they want, and 2 photographers for 9 1/2 hours - and they are there the WHOLE TIME!

I've heard way too many horror stories about girls not getting any pics of the reception of CH. They covered everything.

Plus we had 1500 proofs (all terrific) and they are totally scan-able. They put them in two nice albums for you so you have all the proofs and I made the parent albums myself.

Can you tell me how much extra per picture you paid from the 36-the 80th?

Verdi has a lot of proofs on their website. Check them out and see if you like them. I believe their packages begin at $4500.

I didnt got with Verdi but we did meet with them. We decided against them not because of the money issue or because of the quality of their pictures. We just didnt click with the photographers.

They are pricey so are many other photographers. I actually went with a more expensive photographer. Their picture quality is definitely worth their money though!

Definitely go see them and get a feel for it. There are many great photographers out there and most will give you wonderful pictures. The key is to click with the photographers. At least for me that is just as important as quality of pics and price. I knew that if I did not feel comfortable with our photographers i woudlnt photograph well. I tend to have fake smiles when i pose - and that is exactly waht i wanted to avoid

Re: VERDI PHOTO

I am also using Verdi- they are the one vendor and have no worries over. They are pricey, but you get a minimum of 1,000 proofs. They also work with a graphic designer and have the best equipment, not to mention their expertise. I also spoken to my other vendors (DJ, Video, even hair) and whenever I mention Verdi, they all say- 'you are going to be so happy'. I personally think they are worth the money. Check out their website if you haven't already.

if you go to their web site there are LOADS of pictures to check out. I think they post all the weddings they do!

A Co-Workers nephew used them and the proofs were amazing!!!

JMO If you're going to spend that much, Bob and Debbie at Visual Concepts are much better!!

i used them for my wedding and i would use them again. My MOH also used them. THey are amazing people personally. Yes they are expensive, but photography are the most important vendor IMO.
Also we met with other quality photographers that were less expensive however they only gave you 600 proofs and then charged for additional. remember to compare apples to apples

Re: VERDI PHOTO

I went to see them. Their starting prices were $4500 for proofs and your albulm. Extra prints, parent albums, etc were all extra. They dont have packages. I believe their names are rick and mindy. I was a little pissed because when I made the appointment to go see them, they asked me for my wedding date and I told them. When I went there they told me after going through all the details that they weren't available for my date that their partners would be doing my wedding. I was so mad that I went all the way out their and they didn't have my date available. I thought that was very unprofessional and sneaky. They do beautiful work but they were definitley overpriced.
